Solana Beach events tend to run 40 to 150 guests with a designer or planner already involved. That changes how we show up: neutral service pieces, a fire line staged where it reads as part of the scene instead of a work zone, and staff who dress and move like part of the event rather than a vendor crew.
The wind coming off the bluff is the real variable here. We wind-screen the grills, adjust hot-holding so nothing plates lukewarm, and time the cook to the ceremony rather than the clock. Sunset is the shot everyone came for — the buffet opens after it, not during it.
Gallery openings, showroom launches and studio parties along Cedros Avenue need passed bites and a bar, not a buffet line. We build stationed and passed menus off the same wood-fired kitchen — tri-tip crostini, grilled shrimp skewers, carved steak bites — served for two hours without a heavy setup.

Terry BBQ'd tenderloin, rib eye steaks, and salmon along with 2 cold and 2 hot appys (the bacon wrapped scallops were to die for). It was really a great event.
